Munsari is a beautiful hill station in Uttarakhand situated at the foothills of the huge Himalayas. Munsari is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Munsari is a beautiful hill station. It is the world-famous Panchchuli mountain of the huge Himalayan range in front of Munsari, which according to legend has been considered the symbol of the Pandavas' ascension,

After walking from Kathgodam, Bhimtal, which is just 10 km from Nainital, falls, followed by the famous Bhawali for fresh fruits throughout the year, Almora town and Chittai temple are also on the way. Departing beyond Almora, there are Dholchina, Seraghat, Ganai, Berinag, and Chaukodi. Berinag and Chaukodi are quite famous for their beauty. 

Walking further from here, Thal, Nachni, Timatia, Kwiti, Dor, Girgaum, Ratapani, and Kalamuni come. After crossing the Kalamuni comes Munsari, whose beauty is unique in itself. This hill destination under the Pithoragarh district of the state is famous worldwide for its enchanting atmosphere. 

Located at an altitude of 2300 meters, most of Munsari is covered with a thick sheet of snow. For a reason the snowy peaks here, this hill station is called 'Mini Kashmir' of Uttar

 This mountain town close to the Tibet and Nepal border is nothing less than a haven for adventure travelers. Apart from this, Munsari is also famous for Himalayan flora and wildlife.
People speak Pahari (local dialect) and also use the Hindi language. Most of the people here are engaged in agricultural work.
Munsiyari, situated at the mouth of the Johar Valley, is a group of 7-9 villages situated at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. The Gori Ganga flows through Munsiyari. The forest in the Gori valley is home to various species of birds.

Although the weather of Munsari is blissful all year round, it is worth visiting from April to May and from September to November. The four seasons of the year can be enjoyed in Munsari. In the spring, the shade here is worth seeing. In June and July, there is a lot of rain, which sometimes blocks the way. However, there is heavy snowfall from November to February.

Kalamuni Top

The Kalamuni top spot in Munsari city is also one of the nearby tourist places. This place is situated at a height and hence it is known as Kalamuni Top. This place full of natural scenery is also famous for its religious significance. There is an ancient temple dedicated to Maa Kali, due to which this place is known as a sacred place in the cities and villages near you. Apart from the religious significance, the amazing views of the Panchachuli mountain range make this place special. The temple here follows a traditional belief under which devotees tie bells in the temple premises and pray to the Goddess for the fulfillment of their wishes.

Maheshwari Kund

Maheshwari Kund has located just a short distance away from Munsiyari, Maheshwari Kund is an ancient lake with which mythological beliefs are also associated. It is believed that when the villagers of Munsiyari drained this lake to take revenge, the Yaksha decided to take revenge on them. After which this entire city was hit by drought. The villagers apologized to the Yaksha for saving the village. The tradition of asking for forgiveness is followed even today. Maheshwari offers an amazing form of the Panchachuli mountain range of Kund.


Madcott is known for its natural pool of hot water. The source of hot water originating from the land is believed to be capable of curing diseases like skin diseases, body aches, and arthritis. This beautiful place is situated in a quiet environment separate from urban congestion, where the tourists like it very much.
